Design Updates
Thanks to all who have taken the trouble to email and otherwise comment on our new design. Feedback is like gold dust in projects like this, as we obviously want to get it absolutely right.
Following a number of suggestions, we’ve now centered the site on the page. Duncan Riley emailed to say it looked odd on a 22 inch screen. So for all you 22 inchers out there — and there can’t be many — look straight ahead and you’ll see it.
We have also closed the dark tunnel of the comments box and let in a bit of light. You can now see your cursor as you type. So type away!
Apart from a couple of links to fix in the footer, one to the complete network list, it’s just about done.

You’d be surprised how many folks run 22+ inch screens.
Btw. I’m typing in the blind, because the color of the font is the same color as the input box. Someone might want to take a look at that.

Thanks, Terry. You’re right. I changed the box colour to the font colour. Back to the drawing board.

Right that’s fixed. You can now see what you’re typing.

I’d love a 22 incher.
Right now I’m still on a couple of 17′ looking forward to a 20″ widescreen any day now.
BTW John, a heads-up … The input spots for the Name, Email and Website are still not right. My details are automatically saved each time I comment and I can’t see any of it unless I highlight it.

I agree, Martin. I recently upgraded to a Dell 19″ but I’m already looking at the 24″. Technology never allows you to rest your wallet, does it.
Thanks for the heads up on the comments personal data form. I’ll fix that too.
I hope Kickstart is going well. I forgot to switch my feed, You’ve reminded me to do that.

Work never gets done, eh? I’ve been spending 3 days preparing to convert the 2 big ones in my lot to v2.1 WP. Between the two blogs, I’ve got over 100 activated plugins .. plus about 1 gig of data besides the blogs to backup.
You know .. your logo would go nice just between the comment field and the footer links

You’ve got 100 plugins, HART? You must have a hellava lot of sockets.
We’ll find somewhere to put the logos. Thord’s going to do new ones this week. You’re right, the work never gets done.

Sounds about right to me, HART. I think plugins cause most of the trouble on WordPress sites. That’s not to say they aren’t useful, but we limit ourselves to four — max. It saves a lot of tinkering around when you could be writing posts.
