Syntagma Media Launches Beauty on a Budget

http://www.budget-beauty.com

It had to come, a beauty blog on Syntagma. Not that we’re averse to a bit of slap on the old mush, you understand — so long as it’s other people’s. But we’ve always been more like White’s than the Windmill.

However, Adelle persisted from her high vantage point at Creme de la Femme and the battle was lost. The Chanel and Estee Lauder crowd have charged through the portcullis here at Syntagma Towers and occupied a small corner of the Great Hall. We’re keeping them at bay with Irish wolfhounds, so we shouldn’t get too much trouble from them.

Our excellent blogger is Andrea Paulsen — a fellow Viking, so we should be okay — ably assisted, I’m told, by Clive Allen. Although quite what he knows about moisturiser and lipstick is beyond me.

I’m only teasing them, of course. We are delighted to extend the scope of Syntagma’s ever-expanding, online, distributed magazine to cover the topics our readers want.

Take a look at Beauty on a Budget.

  1. I find the occasional photo, that’s all. Honest, guv!

  2. Phew, that’s relief, Clive. All free samples should be sent to Adelle. :-)

  3. ROFLOL :D

  4. WHAT IS GOING ON?

Is that an IMAGE on the header of this new blog? *hrmph, hrumph, hrumph..

Syntagma is on a roll ~~ are you close to 100 yet?

You need an Author’s page so we can keep track of who’s blogging where now ..

PS: Syntagma Towers .. like the sound of that .. do you come in DVD?

  5. Hi HART,

No, we’re pushing 40 – blogs, that is. We’ve got a target of 50 by end October. That may be missed owing pressures of other work, but we’ll definitely achieve it by end of the year.

I know we need an Author’s page and an OPML feed of posts around the network, but experience at Writers Blog Alliance doesn’t reassure me on that. Still looking.

No DVDs yet, HART, but the makers of Harry Potter want to do a movie called The Troll of Syntagma Towers. I’ve got a feeling that’s me. ;-)

  6. I’m still looking at an efficient way to show all my feeds too. But, if you want something dirty .. take a look at what I’m doing until I can figure that out … HERE (tickermyfeed.com) For authors, I like the way Andy’s doing it over at bluefish with the sub-domains. We’ve only got two members though, including myself.

  7. Well, that’s an interesting — if stuttery — solution to the problem, HART. I think I’ll wait though until the technology is seamless. The problem with too much technology on blogs is that it makes them look amateur. Like simple food, simple content is what draws folk in, I believe.

I haven’t seen Andy’s solution yet. I’ll have to take a look. Thanks for the heads up.
