Well, the new livery for SynMed 2006 is in place across the network. Just the fresh ad placements to do.
Soon you’ll be finding adverts in places you didn’t know existed. Some will jump out of your screen and plaster themselves indelibly on your walls. (I’m joking, but this may be possible soon the way we’re going).
Have a flip through the rest of SynMed and see if you like the new “look”. It’s been created by our tectonic design wizard, Hector, who specializes in plastering paper on walls. I particularly like Google Future and Tertiary Blogging.
Will we be invited to join 9rules? Personally, I find it difficult to obey one rule, let alone nine. What are they playing at?
I see Gordon Mclean has joined them. That spells trouble with the clans.
And finally, a very happy and prosperous 2006 to all our uber-readers.

…………….. [Yawn]
When something new hits the airwaves the world immediately polarizes. A few marvel, open-mouthed. The rest shake their heads sadly, “It’ll never catch on”, “It was better in my day” …..
Take RSS. It’s everywhere now. RSS is the new tsunami. It’s also the new salami and origami. There’s RSS ~ sorry, web-clips ~ on cell phones. RSS ~ pardon me, feeds ~ on almost anything that plugs in or carries a battery. What could be next?
Syntagma has it on good authority that the next incarnation of RSS will be in sunglasses. Yes, as we go about our business, a slow moving line of text will pass across our vision, holographically projected a foot or so in front of us. A century hence, ophthalmic philosophers will trace the moment the human race became universally cross-eyed from the introduction of RSS in specs.
Advantages? There are few. We’ll be force-fed: “It’s much worse than it looks…” from Dave Winer. Scoble saying, “No religious literature in our sunglasses, puleeeze!” “Bring back plodcasting,” cries Winer. “Contribute to a zimmer frame for BillG,” implores Larry Page.
It’ll never catch on.

Our newest blog, Vista Office, is now live.
Vista Office will “watch” the new product offerings from Microsoft due for release in 2006. These include Windows Vista and Office 2006 (codenamed “12″).
Just a reminder that Digital Camera Latest will also go live before Sunday.

Could this be a rare sighting of Cowboy at JOAB Labs?
So, Hopalong Cassidy Cowboy at JOAB finally bows out from his spitting and snarling gig at the Fine Fools network with a line from the Sound of Music. Could he really be Julie Andrews in cognito?
Reading him these past weeks has been like having to feed a liver-damaged porcupine at the zoo. Not for the faint of heart. Those of us who persevered did so not from “celebrity” worship but rather as a scientific obo of that Internet phenomenon, the Shock Jock blogger.
Did we waste our time? It seems so. David Krug, aka Angelina, aka … the Count of Monte Christo, aka PS, has now departed to his own spot in the grimelight called, Cow.BoySpoke.com.
You have been warned.
